April 10th-11th is the 2nd Annual Wine for Paws Fundraiser. Last year’s event featured over 30 local wineries and the shelter receives a portion or percent of the entire day’s tasting room sales. National Adopt a Senior Animal MOnth
Tails for Woods 2010
Saturday, May 8
Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo
May 8th will highlight the return of Woods Humane Society’s Tails 2010 dinner and auction. Join us for an evening of food, friendship, and fundraising all in support of the 1200 animals that will enter (and leave) Woods Humane Society this year. Tails 2010 will take place at the Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo.

Adopt a Cat Month
Critter Camp begins. The shelter opens its doors for nine, weeklong, summer day camps that we fill with K9 Obedience training, humane education activities, hands on animal demonstrations, field trips, and fun. We gear Critter Camp toward youth ages 9-12. Please consider donating a scholarship for a child that would otherwise not have the ability to attend a summer camp due to financial limitations. |

3rd Annual Goldens in the park
Sunday, July 11
July 11th is the 3rd annual Goldens in the Park fundraiser. This event serves as a fundraiser for the dogs & cats of Woods while creating an event to see just how many golden retrievers will fit in one place at one time. Last year’s event hosted close to 200 blonde and red headed dogs. The funny part is seeing how many Golden Retrievers can fit into the same kiddy-pool while their owners’ backs are turned. |
